Melbourne, Nov 01(ANI): A Colac drunken woman crashed her unlicensed car twice in the space of 24 hours during the weekend, including a crash with an unmarked police car.

The second collision destroyed the 50-year-old’s car and she now faces back-to-back drink-driving charges.

The woman crashed into the side of the unmarked police car as she tried to pass it during a right-hand turn off Murray St around 5pm Friday.

Police said her license was several years out of date and her blood alcohol level above .05.

The woman drove the same car off Carlisle Colac Rd and into a tree at Irrewillipe at 9.40am Saturday.

A breath test again recorded a blood alcohol reading above the legal limit.

She escaped injury in the smash.

“We’re trying to educate the public about the dangers of drink driving but for some people it’s taking bit longer to get the message across,” News.com.au quoted Colac Sergeant Martin Day as saying. (ANI)
