Melbourne, Mar 5 (ANI): The allegations that a Liberal Party leader in New South Wales pinched the buttock of an independent candidate at a forum have been declared to be wrong.

According to Ten Network, Liberal candidate Chris Patterson for the seat of Camden and Jai Rowell for Wollondilly have strongly denied any involvement after a complaint was made by independent Judy Hannan.

“The allegations raised on Channel 10 News this evening have been investigated,” News.com.au quoted the party as saying in a statement.

“They are wrong and emphatically denied by Mr Rowell and Mr Patterson,” they stated.

The two MPs have sought legal advice.

Hannan, who is running in Wollondilly, alleged someone pinched her left buttock while a group photo was being taken at the candidates’ forum in Camden.

“I’m very disappointed,” she stated.

Hannan said she made a complaint and wanted a formal apology. (ANI)
