Osama bin Laden applies for Best Job in the World!
February 4th, 2009 - 12:20 pm ICT by ANISydney, Feb 4 (ANI): The Great Barrier Reefs dream job is attracting jobseekers from all over the world including the terrorism sector!
A man claiming to be the world’’s most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden, has also applied for the job of caretaker on Hamilton Island.
According a video posted on YouTube, Bin Laden claims he is the ideal candidate for the job, citing his familiarity with “sandy areas” and experience in “large scale event co-ordination”.
“I”ve got experience with videos and delegating tasks,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying.
“My interests include arts and craft and renovating. I”m outgoing and fun loving,” he added.
The 30-second prank posting has only received a few hundred hits, but is already doing the rounds of email inboxes Down Under.
However, Tourism Queensland has confirmed that the person using the notorious terrorist’’s name has given an official application for the position.
“While we encourage people to be creative in their applications, they have to meet the selection criteria, including appropriate content, if they want to be considered for the job,” a Tourism Queensland spokeswoman said.
The ”Osama bin Laden application was submitted via the www.islandreefjob.com website but it was rejected because the content was not deemed to be appropriate,” she added.
The Best Job in the world is offering a six-month gig in which the successful applicant will live in a luxury Hamilton Island villa, explore the reef, its islands and wildlife, swim, snorkel and blog about it. (ANI)
