OPEC oil price rises beyond $42
January 19th, 2009 - 7:02 pm ICT by IANSVienna, Jan 19 (DPA) The price for oil produced by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) gained $1.32 at the end of last week, the cartel said Monday.One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude stood at $42.17 Friday, up from $40.85 on the previous day.
The Vienna-based organisation calculates an average price based on 12 brands produced by its members.
