One killed in Nepal explosion
March 23rd, 2009 - 6:56 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kathmandu, March 23 (Xinhua) One person was killed and another injured when a bomb exploded at a transport management office in Nepalgunj town, 365 km west of the Nepali capital Kathmandu Monday afternoon.
According to news website eKantipur, a large number of visitors were present inside the office at the time of the blast.
A motorcycle, a bicycle and rooms at the back of the office were destroyed in the explosion that took place at around 1.15 p.m. (0730 GMT).
The transport office confirmed that the deceased was not its employee or a customer and the police said that the victim was killed while trying to detonate the bomb.
