medium1Jan 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Thursday is going to be a dark anniversary for the students and staffs of the Oklahoma State University. It was 10 years back that an aircraft crashed in a field in Colorado killing 8 staff members as well as two players. The men were coming back to Stillwater after a game. The university held a program for paying tribute to the memories of those who had lost their lives during the Texas-OSU game on Wednesday night. Eddy Sutton the former coach was present there. The former team members were also present and the families of the victims attended the event as well. Among the family members there was the wife of the pilot Denver Mills. The lady said that this event brought solace to her heart.

The widow said “It’s more comforting than I thought it would be. Because I think 10 years is a very long time. So a lot of wounds have healed.” Bill Perry also felt the same. Will Hancock his nephew was killed in the tragic accident. The guy worked as the university’s media specialist. The school teachers will visit the crash site to pay tribute to those who had lost their lives 10 years back. The library bells on the university campus will chime once for the victims at the time the plane had crashed.

The University of Texas players wore Orange T shirts for honoring the victims of the tragedy during the game with OSU. For the former coach the occasion brings the memory of earlier days. However, he still feels a tad uncomfortable for the fact the families of a few of the victims bear a grudge against him for the mishap.
