Obamas to make move to Washington this weekend

Washington, Dec 31 (ANI): US President-elect Barack Obama and his family will move to Washington immediately after he ends his Hawaiian vacation, revealed his transition team.
The would-be resident of White House will arrive in the capital before inauguration events begin from January 20.
“The president-elect will be here in Washington to continue work on an economic recovery plan,” Us magazine quoted the team as saying.
Obama, with wife Michelle, and their two daughters will stay at a Washington hotel through January 15.
Then, the family will shift to the Blair House, which is the president’’s guest house and is right opposite the street from the White House.
It is a huge change from modern protocol in which a President-elect stays out of Washington until just days before his inauguration, but Obama and his wife Michelle want their daughters to get acclimated to their new school and classmates.
Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, will be attending the exclusive Sidwell Friends School, a large-gated academy where Washington’’s rich and famous - and former Presidents like Bill Clinton - send their kids. (ANI)
