Melbourne, Dec 23 (ANI): US President Barack Obama has taken Twitter by storm after using the classic Spider-Man quote “with great power comes great responsibility” at a press conference.
Speaking about greater bipartisanship between his Democratic Party and the Republicans, he noted that Republicans recognised that “with greater power comes greater responsibility”, reports the Courier Mail.
The quote was immortalised in the 2001 movie directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.
Twitter lit up with comments about the quote, ranging from praise to claims he was trivializing national affairs with a superhero reference.
It’s not the first time Obama has been linked to the popular webslinger.
He even starred in a special issue of the Spider-Man comic that marked his inauguration. (ANI)
