Washington, Jan 10 (ANI): US President-elect Barack Obamas mother-in-law, Marian Robinson, will be moving into the White House along with her daughters family.
Robinson, 71, was very much present throughout the campaign trail, helping her daughter take care of the two Obama girls, Sasha and Malia.
She has now decided to join them, in order to make the transition from Chicago to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue easier, though it is not known for how long she will be residing there.
Mrs. Robinson will be coming with the family to help the girls get acclimated, and she will determine in the coming months whether or not she wants to stay in DC permanently, the Washington Post quoted Katie McCormick Lelyveld, a spokesperson for the presidential transition, as saying.
This is not the first time that a president’’s mother-in-law will be residing in the White House, for Laura Bush’’s mother, Jenna Welch, also spent weeks staying there during the holidays. (ANI)
