Washington, Nov 2 (ANI): In an attempt to woo the youth for one last time ahead of the mid-term polls, US President Barack Obama would reportedly talk to ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest in an interview and answer viewers’ queries, Seacrest claimed on his Facebook account.
“I’m interviewing President Barack Obama and want to ask him YOUR questions, political & otherwise,” the “American Idol” host posted on his Facebook page on Monday.
According to the New York Daily News, the post quickly drew many responses from Facebook users, ranging from the serious to silly ones.
“Ask the President what is he doing to stimulate job growth in the state of Ohio. Tell him I’m a white collar skilled IT worker and have applied at 624 job applications and counting,” one of them posted on Seacrest wall.
“Are you a fan of Justin Bieber? DO YOU HAVE BIEBER FEVER?” another user wrote.
According to the Facebook posting, Obama’s interview with “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” will be aired on Tuesday evening in Los Angeles.
Earlier this month, Obama had appeared on both MTV and Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” with an intention to win back the enthusiasm of young voters who helped him surge to victory in 2008 presidential polls.
The Huffington Post quoted Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, as saying on Monday that the President of the United States’ schedule of closed meetings throughout the day will include some time to tape radio interviews set to air on election day throughout the country.
“Tonight, the president plans to make phone calls to boost the morale of activists and other party organizers in key battleground states, including Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and his native Hawaii,” the report said.
Obama faces a tough fight for his party on Tuesday as Democrats head into fierce midterm election battles in the light of huge voter swings away from them in recent opinion polls. (ANI)
