Washington, September 18 (ANI): U.S. Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has turned down Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohans support for his campaign.
The trouble-prone actress wanted to stage a series of events to attract young voters, but Obamas camp turned down her offer with a polite ””thanks, but no thanks””.
””(Lohan) is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us,” Fox News quoted a top source on the Obama team as telling the Chicago Sun-Times.
Lohan had recently slammed Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin on her MySpace blog.
“I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin,” she wrote, urging people to vote for Obama.
“Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?” she added.
Lohan even referred to a news story stating that Palin’’s church in Wasilla, Alaska, was promoting a conference that promised to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer. (ANI)
