Obama rules out one-to-one talks with Brown over Lockerbie bomber’s release

London, Sep.22 (ANI): The British Prime Minister’s office has been forced to admit that Gordon Brown has not been invited for private talks with U.S. President Brack Obama this week.Brown will land in New York today and leave America on Friday night. He will not have one-to-one talks with Obama during the UNGA or the G-20 summits in New York and Pittsburgh.The Times quoted sources at Number 10 as insisting that there was no snub and the pair will sit next to each other at the United Nations and G-20 talks.President Obama is reported to have given Brown a dressing down ten days ago over Britain releasing and the Scottish government releasing the Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi.Downing Street had then denied the “special relationship” was in peril and said the pair had enjoyed warm and constructive talks. But two hours later the White House announced to the world the president had expressed his anger. (ANI)
