Washington, Jan 26 (ANI): A few minutes before delivering his State of the Union address, US President Barack Obama joked with Secretary of State Clinton about his already ‘circulated’ speech, saying so much of it had already been leaked that he was not sure whether he really needed to go to the dais.
Obama made the light-hearted remarks after Clinton greeted him before his speech, the New York Daily News reports.
When Clinton praised him for the “good speech,” Obama shook her hand and smilingly said: “I don’t even need to give it. Everybody’s already seen it.”
A transcript of the speech was circulated widely hours before the 9 p.m. scheduled delivery time. (ANI)
