Obama gets high approval rating in all states

Washington, Feb.24 (ANI): President Barack Obama’s approval ratings during his second year were highest in most of the states, according to the Gallup 2010 poll.
His approval rating in Hawaii, the place where he grew up was 65.9 percent, while it was 84.4 percent in the district of Columbia, the place where he spends most of his time these days. Both the states had the highest Obama approval ratings for 2009 as well.
Obama’s approval rating in Illinois, the state he served as Senator for 4 years was 53.4 percent.
The ratings ranged were between 57.6 percent and 54.0 percent in Maryland, New York, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, California and Connecticut.
He also did well in the Northeast states, but approval ratings were low in the South and the West.
The lowest rating was 27.6 percent in Wyoming. Followed by 31.6 percent in Idaho.
Obama’s approval ratings higher than 33 percent and below 40 percent in West Virginia, Utah, Oklahoma, Alaska, Kentucky, Montana, Arkansas and Kansas.
The President’s nationwide approval ratings this year were 47 percent, while it was 58 percent in 2009.
The sharpest drop was observed in Vermont where his approval dropped more than 15 percentage points to 52.6 percent, the Politico report.
The Gallup’s daily tracking poll was conducted from January 1 to December 31, 2010. It surveyed nearly 179,503 adults in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. (ANI)
