London, Dec 16 (ANI): Angry parents were seen protesting after nursery child abuser Vanessa George was told she could walk free after just seven years.

George was arrested on charges of sexually abusing children under her care at Little Ted’s Nursery in Plymouth, Devon.

Angry mothers of victims were shocked to hear George’s probable sentence and demonstrated against what they believed was a mild punishment for her monstrous acts.

“You get more than that for robbing someone’s house,” the Sun quoted one mum, as shouting after storming from the Bristol Crown Court.

“There should be hanging for this,” said another.

George was given an indeterminate sentence for her involvement in a paedophile web. She pleaded guilty to 13 charges of sexual assault and making and distributing illegal images of tots below two years of age.

The judge Mr Justice Royce told George: “What you did plumbed new depths of depravity.

“This was wicked, cold, calculated, repeated offending which for any decent person defies belief.”

The judge pointed out: “Parents have to live with the memory of you coming out with a smile on your face to hand them back their child. In fact you may have been doing unspeakable things to that child. Many of the parents still have to live with that uncertainty and distress.”

He added: “If the Parole Board is not satisfied it is safe for you to be released then you will spend the rest of your days in prison. Many will say that would not be a day too long and is no more than you deserve.”

Fellow paedophile Angela Allen, 39, got an indeterminate sentence and could be eligible for parole in five years.

The fate of the third accused Colin Blanchard, 39, will be decided later. ANI)
