Leonardo Da Vinci’s 500-years old legendary painting has always engrossed the viewers with the magic that is present in Mona Lisa’s eyes. And it has been a big mystery over who posed for the famed painting. Now there is some hope that the identity might be known after high resolution images of the legendary masterpiece were magnified and the code in the eyes was known.
The code wasn’t known till now, because the numbers and the letters that are seen in the painting were not visible to the naked eye at all. After the images were magnified, then ‘LV’ is clearly seen in the right eye, which might represent Leonardo Da Vinci’s initials.
The letters are not so clearly seen in the left eye. Art historians believe that they can see ‘CE’ there, whereas some say that they can see ‘B’ or a ‘S’. there is some debate over the issue whether it is ‘72’ or ‘L2’ in the background.
