London, Dec 10 (IANS) Celebrity golfer Tiger Woods’ troubles got further compounded after one of his teeth was reportedly broken when his furious wife Elin Nordegren hurled a mobile phone at him.
US news reports said Elin “went psycho” during their blazing row over his affairs on the night he crashed his car, thesun.co.uk reported without attributing the source of its information.

It was also reported that although Elin is devastated by the alleged infidelity and walked out on him early this week, she has no plans to file for divorce. The 29-year-old married the golfer in 2004 and they have a daughter Sam, 2, and Son Charlie, 10 months.

“She is a child of a divorce and that’s not something she’s likely to going to want to do to Sam and Charlie. She believes in the importance of parents staying together,” said a friend of the former nanny.

Tiger, 33, has been linked to at least 10 women, while eight of them have been named so far. It has also affected his role as a brand ambassador.

According to DPA news agency, advertisers have been quick to drop Tiger Woods, media tracking firm Nielsen said. The golfer has not appeared in a primetime ad on US television since Nov 29, a few days after he was engulfed in scandal following a late-night car crash outside his home.

Despite the halt in television ads featuring Woods, none of his multi-million dollar endorsement contracts have yet been cancelled by the likes of companies like Nike and Gillette, according to ABC News.

Though Pepsi did confirm that it was discontinuing a Tiger Woods-branded energy drink, the move had been announced before the scandal broke, the report said Wednesday.

On Wednesday a spokesperson for Playgirl said they had what appeared to be naked photos of Woods, and they plan on publishing them if they can confirm their validity.

Woods, who was previously seen as a squeaky clean athletic role model, has been tainted by allegations of serial infidelity with as many as 10 women around the US including various waitresses, nightclub hostesses and porn stars.

Woods has been the focus of tabloid inquiry since he crashed his car outside his house in the early hours of Nov 27 amid allegations of a massive fight between him and his wife.

A statement later issued by the star golfer, in which he apologised for undisclosed “transgressions” and letting his family down, has fuelled speculation of marital infidelity.
