Now, ‘mama grizzly’ Palin wants to nail “corrupt bastards” in media

Washington, Nov 1 (ANI): Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has claimed she has video evidence, which shows that “corrupt” reporters for a CBS affiliate in Alaska conspired to project Joe Miller, the state’s Republican Senate nominee, in a negative light.
“CBS reporters are on tape saying, ‘Let’s find a child molester in the crowd that supports Miller. Those are corrupt bastards,” Politico quoted the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, as saying.
Palin said that she “can’t wait” to show the tape, which was recorded at a recent rally that she addressed in Alaska. The tape was posted on Saturday night on Big Journalism.
She further accused the media for Miller’s drop in polls after leading Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski, who’s waging a write-in campaign. Polls now show Miller trailing, but Palin still expressed confidence that her chosen candidate will win, the report said.
“The things this fella has had to put up with, it’s no wonder the numbers have been tightening,” she added.
Meanwhile, CBS News released a statement against Palin’s allegations saying, “KTVA News is owned by the Alaska Broadcasting Co., not CBS. No CBS staffers were involved, and CBS has no knowledge of and no comment on these allegations.”
Talking about the recording, KTVA general manager Jerry Bever has said that it was unfortunate and added that it did not accurately reflect the journalistic standards of “our newsroom and the garbled context will no doubt leave more questions than answers.” (ANI)
