North Korea preparing more missile tests: Report
May 26th, 2009 - 10:22 am ICT by IANSSeoul, May 26 (DPA) Notwithstanding the worldwide criticism of its nuclear test, North Korea is believed to be preparing to test more ballistic missiles, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said Tuesday.
There were indications that North Korea was about to fire short-range missiles, believed to be anti-ship missiles, from its west coast, the agency said, quoting informed sources.
Pyongyang banned shipping in the waters off its west coast until Wednesday.
Already on Monday, the Stalinist state fired three short-range ballistic missiles with a range of 130 km from its east coast shortly after detonating a nuclear device.
Monday’s missile launch site is believed to be close to the location of the underground nuclear test, North Korea’s second since October 2006.
