Nine jailed for kidnapping policeman in Bahrain
May 19th, 2011 - 7:02 pm ICT by IANSManama, May 19 (IANS) A military court in Bahrain Thursday sentenced nine people to 20 years in prison after they were convicted for kidnapping a policeman, Xinhua quoted Bahrain News Agency (BNA) as saying.
The agency did not say when and where the kidnapping happened. The court’s ruling can still be appealed within 15 days.
The court’s ruling came days after another military court sentenced two men to five and two years, respectively, in prison for allegedly killing policemen during the unrest in the country during February and March.
