Night Stalker Walking Tour Organized To Mark The End Of Richard Ramirez’s Terror Reign

richardAug 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Richard Ramirez, the serial killer responsible for the death of dozens of people and torturing of many more has been remembered 25 years after his reign of terror ended, by Al Guerrero, a graphic designer from Los Angeles. 50-year-old Al Guerrero has organized a tour that will celebrate the courage of the people who helped bring an end to the ruthless run of the serial killer and got him arrested. Known as the ‘Night Stalker Walking Tour’, Al Guerrero will start the proceedings at the place where it all started for Richard Ramirez. The people will then move towards the place where the final showdown, that led to his arrest, took place. There will also be residents of the area who will recount the tales of the summer of 1985.

Richard Ramirez came to be known as ‘The Night Stalker’ and was one of the most notorious criminals of his time. He committed his first murder in 1984 and his victims ranged from 6-year-old children to 84-year-olds. He also sodomized and raped young girls in between the murders. Within a span of 2 months in the summers of 1985, he committed a series of gruesome and heinous crimes that left the entire city of Los Angeles completely terrified. Al Guerrero, the man who has organized the ‘Night Stalker Walking Tour’ on Sunday recounted the emotions that the public felt at the time. He said that it was an unbearable summer in terms of heat and yet people were afraid to keep their windows open. Almost everyone in the city lived in constant fear as the attacks were completely random.

The cost of the tickets for participating in the ‘Night Stalker Walking Tour’ is $15. There are also dancers and singers who will be performing to express the emotions of the victims and the families who endured and finally stood up against Richard Ramirez.
