Nicole Kidman gifts a $6.5 mn ranch to sister

Brisbane, Feb 8 (IANS) Nicole Kidman is planning to turn her hideaway in an Australian village into a horse riding refuge for her sister Antonia and her four children.
The council documents reveal that the $6.5-million homestead in the Southern Highlands region will have lavish renovations with plans for a pool, tennis court, sandstone gym and entertainment centre. But insiders say the heart of the 45 hectare colonial estate, known as Bunya Hill, will be the stables, the Courier Mail reported.
“The stables are for Antonia. She’s the one who’s really into horses, not Nicole,” couriermail.com.au quoted a source close to the family as saying.
A 2.5 metre high, 250-metre earth wall is being built along the perimeter of the property, making it impossible to view it from the road. The city council plans show the proposed sandstone brick gym will look like ‘a traditional Victorian-era outbuilding’.
An 18-metre inground swimming pool is to be constructed in front of the gym and the largest of the dams will feature a 3-metre jetty made from treated pine.
The entry will be framed by antique posts topped with stone plinths and look out onto a full-size tennis court.
