Prince William London, Apr 30 (ANI): Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has said that he is offended by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage ceremony, as it is being celebrated while Libya is facing a civil war.

According to news.com.au, Ortega said the hands of the British monarchy “are stained with blood because they are celebrating while Libya is being bombed, while blood is being spilled in Libya”.

Ortega made the comments in a speech to thousands of supporters, hours after the lavish royal ceremony that was watched by an estimated two billion people around the world.

He condemned the royal wedding that took place on Friday, in the light of the week’s attack on civilians by the Libyan government forces.

Over 200 people have been killed since the clash between Muammar Gaddafi’s forces and anti- government protestors started in February. (ANI)
