New York Rep. Charles Rangel Enters Into A Tiff With Barack Obama
August 25th, 2010 - 12:40 am ICT by Sampurn WireWashington, August 24, 2010 (Just Flashed): Charles Rangel happens to be an African-American member of the Democratic Party of America. He has been a member of the American House of Representatives since 1971 as a delegate of the 15th Congressional District of New York. He also happens to be the oldest member of the Congressional allocation from the state of New York. Rangel has now responded heatedly to the recent observation of Barack Obama that Rangel finish his political career with his seemliness and self-respect intact.
80-year-old Rangel was speechifying at night on Monday at a candidate’s forum in New York City. Rangel passionately asserted on Monday that the American President has not been in the political world long enough to ascertain the self-esteem of Rangel. Rangel has claimed that it was more probable that he would defend the self-respect of Obama over the next two years.
The rationale behind this spat between Rangel and Obama is that Rangel is currently involved in an ethical controversy. An ethics board of the House has pointed the finger at Rangel and placed charges of ethics contravention against Rangel. Rangel has pledged to battle against these accusations directed at him and has refrained from quitting. Rangel has declared that he is concentrating on his desire to get elected again.
With an eye on these charges against Rangel, Obama had mentioned three weeks ago that he was certain that Rangel yearned to finish his political career with stateliness. Obama uttered that he hoped that the career of Rangel concluded with his credibility still high.
