New speed limit rules for Abu Dhabi roads
December 31st, 2010 - 12:59 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Dec 30 (IANS/WAM) New rules on speed limits on all roads in the emirate of Abu Dhabi will be enforced from Saturday, an official said.The rules were approved by the transport department and the municipalities of Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain and the Western Region, said Colonel Hussain Ahmad Al-Harithi, director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
All motorists are urged to observe the new speed limits that will be displayed on signboards on all roads in the emirate.
Al Harithi said the changes are being made after extensive studies on the traffic requirements of the emirate in the next decade to ensure road safety.
