Kuala Lumpur, June 7(ANI): The newly-formed Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party will be going on a nationwide roadshow to introduce committee members to the Indian community.
The president of the party, R S Thanenthiran, highlighted that his party will be a platform to voice the problems of the Indian community.
“For a start, we will address the citizenship problem faced by an estimated 60,000 Malaysian Indians,” The Star quoted Thanenthiran, as saying.
“The party will be going on a nationwide roadshow to collect data and introduce the committee members to the Indian community,” he added.
Thanenthiran was the former national coordinator of Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF).
“We are a neutral party and will work with any coalition that supports the Indian community, be it Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat,” Thanenthiran said.
Thanenthiran added that the party would be officially launched in August. (ANI)
