nataleeAmsterdam, Feb 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The mystery of the American student, Natalee Holloway, is finally on the way to being solved. It has been confessed by Joran Van Der Sloot, the Dutch man who was under suspicion of having committed the murder of Natalee Holloway, that he had disposed of her corpse while he was still in Aruba, an island in the Caribbeans. The element of surprise in the whole matter is that the confession by Joran Van Der Sloot is very much like the confession that had been procured two years back.

At that point of time, the confession, which had been obtained by a reporter undertaking an undercover operation, was dismissed by the jury and the plaintiff as being inconclusive evidence. This time, too, the confession is being taken with a pinch of salt, as the Chief Prosecutor of Aruba is of the opinion that Joran Van Der Sloot may simply be giving a different version of the story each time so that the truth would not come to light. This assumption is made all the stronger by the admittance of the accused himself of his fear of being prosecuted.

According to the Chief Prosecutor of Aruba, Peter Blanken, it is very obvious that the confession obtained from Joran Van Der Sloot cannot be really very reliable, as before this, a different version of the tale had been given. Moreover, witnesses in the case have also denied to testify. However, he does admit that the new confession obtained from the main and only suspect does open up new avenues of investigation, although he expects that it would be to no avail.
