Nadir Chaudhry, press secretary of Sharif, confirmed reports that have appeared in media to the effect that the exiled Prime Minister would be leaving the Kingdom soon.

He said that the Saudi guarantors of the understanding that required Sharif to stay away from Pakistan for 10 years, are now willing to let him go, as the exile deal has become infructuous.

The Saudi royal house was greatly perturbed by the negative reception in Pakistan of the role the Kingdom and its representatives played in getting Sharif whisked off from Pakistan after his arrival in Islamabad from London.

It was the first time in Pakistan’s history that Saudi Arabia and the royal house had been so openly criticised, when, traditionally, they have been accorded great respect, bordering sometimes on reverence, the Daily Times reported. (ANI)
