Paris, June 6 (DPA) Rafael Nadal moved to within one victory of a record-equalling fourth straight title at the French Open with a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) victory over Novak Djokovic Friday to reach the title clash. The Spanish king of clay remains undefeated at Roland Garros and will Sunday play the winner from Roger Federer and Frenchman Gael Monfils match.

Nadal’s victory marked his 27th win at the venue and his ATP-leading 43rd of the season.

The Spaniard improved to 8-3 over world number three Djokovic, who had been bidding to back up his Australian Open title from January.

Nadal is bidding to pull level with Bjorn Borg - in the audience for the match - on four straight trophies at Roland Garros.
