N. Korea gets gender wrong while calling US politician ‘human scum’
December 23rd, 2010 - 4:22 pm ICT by ANITokyo, Dec. 23 (ANI): North Korea got the gender wrong while labeling the incoming head of the United States’ House Foreign Affairs Committee as “human scum” and an “anti-communist fanatic”.
In a blistering attack on Republican politician from Florida Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the state-run Korean Central News Agency thought Ros-Lehtinen was a male rather than a female politician.
They also described Ros Lehtinen’s calls for “strong countermeasures” against Pyongyang for its artillery attack on an island off South Korea in November as a “malignant vituperation against the dignified DPRK and its system.”
Ros-Lehtinen has also urged the State Department to list North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism and described its as a “rogue regime.”
According to The Telegraph, Pyongyang has not taken too kindly to her descriptions, but made the mistake of assuming its detractor was a man.
“He is a political illiterate, ignorant of the background against which the nuclear issue cropped up on the Korean Peninsula and the processes to settle it,” KCNA stated in its editorial.
It added: “It is natural to hear such rubbish from him.” (ANI)
