Islamabad, June 2 (Xinhua) Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed was released by Pakistan’s Lahore High Court Tuesday, a media report said.
Saeed was detained last December after the UN declared JuD, a frontal organization of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as a terrorist group, Dawn News reported Tuesday. The declaration came in the wake of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, India, which killed over 170 people.
