Mullah Bakri calls for ban on ChristmasDecember 24th, 2007 - 5:31 pm ICT by admin
London, Dec 24 (ANI): Forty eight-year-old Syrian born Mullah Omar Bakri Muhhammed, in his latest hate-filled rant, has called for Christmas to be banned. He further asked Muslims to stop their kids seeing Santa Claus.
He asked them to throw away all Christmas cards …
The mad mullah, who is barred from the UK, wants Brits to boycott the festive season.
In an Internet sermon from his new home in Libya, Bakri wrote: “To have Christmas tree, visit so-called Christmas Father that is completely forbidden. “For your children to be exposed to them will be on your neck.”
“Make sure you do not watch TV. Do not let them hear jingle bells. Do not send your children on Christmas trip,” The Sun quoted Bakri, as saying.
In another sermon, he told extremists, that Christmas Day was the perfect time to launch terror attacks.
Bakri, who has praised the 9/11 atrocities, has been living in exile for two years.
He was recently told that it was unlikely that he would ever be allowed back to Britain.
Bakri had applied for a short-term visa to visit his wife and six kids, who still live in Edmonton, North London.
Bakri said daughter Raya, 12, was having an operation. But the British embassy refused the visa and told him: “Any application you submit in the future to enter Britain will be like the previous one. Most likely, you will not be allowed to enter Britain.” (ANI)
