ChelseaLondon, March 5 (DPA) Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink said that morale is the secret of Didier Drogba’s improved form.
Drogba scored Chelsea’s goal in their 1-0 win over Portsmouth Tuesday, and pointedly celebrated with Hiddink by the dug-out.

The victory closed the gap on Manchester United at the top to four points.

“He knows he has not scored that many this season and sometimes it gets rid of the tension a player may have,” Hiddink told the club website.

“We work hard on training and Drogba is one of the guys who from the first day was enjoying it and I think that is why he is having his efficiency as well.

“Players who just play as professionals, their efficiency goes down.

“But when they are enjoying it and every day enjoy their training, in the end it will pay off.

“He is making in the last games the difference with his goals and as long as he is committed, and I am convinced he is committed, he will automatically make his goals.”

Drogba had been accused of sulking under Luiz Felipe Scolari, who was replaced by Hiddink last month.
