Matthew Hoffmann, the sole suspect in this case has been in police custody after the 13 year old Sarah Maynard, who is the sole survivor of this case was recovered in a gagged condition from the basement of Matthew Hoffmann’s home last Sunday. According to sources, it is the 30 year old Matthew Hoffmann, whose statements have lead police to the dead bodies. Initially, police had said that the suspect was reluctant to provide any kind of help to them. Matthew Hoffmann is being held on $1 million bond for a single charge of kidnapping. Police has however, refused to say what were the statements provided to them by Sarah Maynard and Matthew Hoffmann throughout the investigation. Initial investigations have already pronounced Matthew Hoffmann as a psycho.

The matter first got reported when a manager from Tina Herrmann’s work place showed up in their home after Tina Herrmann had failed to report to her job on last Wednesday, and found no one present at home. After investigation blood was found inside the house. Knox County sheriff David Barber has confirmed that the murders were committed inside their home, and later on the bodies were shifted to a wooded area inside plastic bags. With the motif still unclear behind this tragic incident, police is yet to discover as to how the persons were killed.
