Missing Malay-Indian toddler’s mom believes she’s in captivity
September 16th, 2010 - 5:13 pm ICT by ANIMentakab, Sep 16 (ANI): The mother of a missing Malay-Indian toddler Nisha Chandramohan believes her daughter is still alive and is held captive at someplace in the country.
Twenty-one-year-old Wong Lai Lan said she and her husband G. Chandramohan have persistently held this view since their daughter disappeared in June.
“We pray daily for her well-being and go to church every Sunday, hoping for a miracle someday,” said Wong.
Wong said that despite wide media publicity and assistance from the RHB Group, the MIC and Lanchang assemblyman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsuddin, there was still no news on Nisha’s whereabouts.
“As her mother, I have an instinct that she is still alive. I can only pray that whoever is keeping Nisha is being kind to her, and knows that she needs medication for epilepsy,” The Star quoted her, as saying.
Both Wong and her husband have taken up the herculean task of searching for their lost daughter.
“A man contacted us last Sunday, saying he had seen Nisha but I sensed that he was not truthful. We have already suffered enough. Please do not add to our misery,” said Wong, adding that some people had played pranks by asking for their cell phones to be topped up in exchange for information.
Nisha was reported missing after she was taken out by her aunt, who is mentally ill, from the victim’s grandmother’s house in Mentakab in Pahang.
Malaysian authorities have till date failed to trace Nisha. (ANI)
