Dewey, Aug 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) When Emmett Trapp’s mother took a short nap on Monday evening, it perhaps never came into her wildest imagination that she was with her two-year-old son for the last time. However, on Wednesday the nightmare turned out to be true when the two days’ rigorous search for Emmett Trapp came to an end with the boy being found dead in a muddy pit. The search and rescue officials found the body on the former Iron King Mine site at around 11:30 am. No foul play in the death of the toddler is being suspected by the police. However, an autopsy of Emmett Trapp was scheduled to be conducted later on Wednesday.

The news of the death of Emmett Trapp was confirmed to media sources by Sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn, who said to media sources that the death of the boy has devastated the department. Sergeant Jeff Newnum mentioned that following the common protocol, police have sealed the area from where the body was found. They would be treating the area as a “crime scene” and conduct further investigation into the death of the Emmett Trapp. However, as of yet the police has not found any reason to believe that there was any foul play in the death of the two-year-old boy. Sgt. Jeff Newnum maintained that Emmett Trapp might have succumbed to Arizona’s elements to which he remained exposed to more than 24 hours.

Emmett Trapp was reported missing by his mother at 8 p.m. on Monday. She had reportedly told to the Sheriff’s office that she was unable to find Emmett Trapp after she woke up from a short nap on Monday evening.
