Islamabad, Jan 16 (IANS) Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Miliband Friday stressed the importance of holding intensive dialogue for resolving the Kashmir issue, Geo TV reported. The British foreign secretary made the remarks at a press conference here at the British high commission. He added that the “war on terror” depends on Pakistan’s participation.
“Terrorism is also a threat to Pakistan,” he said, adding that Britain would help Pakistan in tackling the menace.
He urged the Pakistani citizens to extend their support to the government.
He said Britain is keeping a close watch on India-Pakistan relations.
He said Britain has assured India that a transparent legal trial would be carried out in Pakistan to bring the Mumbai terror accused in the country to justice.
