Michael Johnson Charged With Fourth Degree For Driving Drunk At 178 Mph

driveAug 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Menahga, Minnesota man named Michael Johnson, who was arrested on July 9 for zipping along the road of northern Minnesota at a speed of 178 meter per hour, has been charged by the court with fourth-degree drunken driving and careless driving on Monday. The news was confirmed to media sources by County Attorney Kyra Ladd who said that the accused has a court hearing impending on Aug 30. However, the court has not seized his driving license and the attorney added to the fear of the citizens by saying that “he [Michael Johnson] can be out there driving right now”.

Michael Johnson was arrested by the police on July 9 after he was found driving at a speed of 178 miles per hour. He was reportedly driving a Corvette on County Road 31 in East Menahga when the Wadena County Police recorded him driving at the above mentioned speed. After a long chase, the police was eventually able to pull him out of his car when it slowed down a little due to traffic and a stop sign. Michael Johnson was found with another passenger in the vehicle.

The Wadena County Police said that Michael Johnson was found driving under the influence of alcohol. It took hardly any time for the authorities to realize that Michael Johnson was driving under the influence of alcohol and blood alcohol test proved them right. The blood-alcohol content of Michael Johnson was found to be 0.12 while the normal limit set by the federal law enforcement officials is 0.08. Also, the speed at which Michael Johnson was driving has amazed many and some media sources reported that it was the highest recorded for the month of July.
