Michael Jackson London, April 4 (IANS) Pop star Michael Jackson is fighting a losing battle to stop an auction of items from his Neverland ranch.
A huge haul including Jackson’s costumes and the gates to the famous California estate are due to go under the hammer April 22, reported the contactmusic online.

The sale is being organised by officials at Julien’s Auction House, who insist the star gave them permission to sell his belongings. But Jackson’s attorneys are fighting the auction and attended a court hearing in Los Angeles Friday, along with the singer’s father.

A judge ruled against the star but Jackson has vowed to take his appeal to another court April 15.

The battle between Jackson and the auction house got messy last month when officials at the auction house accused the “Thriller” star’s representatives of threatening violence to stop the sale.

Jackson’s attorney denied the allegations, describing them as a “scurrilous attack”.

The auction is scheduled to take place online and at the Beverly Hilton hotel from April 22 to April 25.
