November 30th, 2009 - 4:51 pm ICT by ANIPutrajaya (Malaysia), Nov 30(ANI): Malaysian Indian Congress Deputy President G. Palanivel has said the party must identify the challenges in front of them and face it in a more productive way to woo the Indian community in the country to its fold.
“The challenges facing the MIC, the Indians and also the nation must be identified, discussed and debated to implement the best solutions. The electorate must see us as an entity that is willing to embrace its responsibility and deliver,” The Star quoted Palanivel, as saying.”Only then can we clear the misconceptions about us,” he added.
Palanivel also said that the party, including its Youth and Wanita wings, should define itself politically and raise the level of political awareness of the voters.”We have to continuously meet and talk to our voters and educate them on the importance of their voting power,” Palanivel said. The minister also said that there was a new domestic political situation and the party could not afford to rest in the comfort zone of the past.
