In recent times the government of Mexico has put its concentration on combating drug related crimes. That is why it has been sending federal police and troops of soldiers to the most disturbed and violent areas of the country. Guerrero is a violence prone area. The chopper crashed due to an unidentified mechanical problem in a place adjacent to Vallecitos de Zaragoza. Two of the wounded soldiers are said to be in critical condition. The President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon has asked the Military to give all required assistance to the family of the soldier who died in the accident.
