Meet UK’s fastest female Rubik’s cube solver
November 3rd, 2009 - 5:12 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 3 (ANI): Britain’s Charlotte Cooper, 23, has become the fastest female Rubik’s cube solver, who can complete the Cube blindfolded in 15 seconds.
Cooper learned how to solve the Cube two years ago and now competes in ’speedcubing’ competitions around the world.
“It’s not beyond anybody, although it does take a considerable amount of dedication and ability to remember the sequences to learn how to solve it,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
‘At home it’s not uncommon for me to get solves of under 15 seconds,’ she added
Previously, her fastest official solve in a competition was 17.59 seconds, which she achieved at the UK Masters in Swindon, Wilts., this July.
Cooper, of Old Market, Bristol, is now planning to travel to the US Nationals as well as events in France, Holland, Spain, Germany and Belgium. (ANI)
