London, June 19 (ANI): When Ian Ushers lost his beloved dad to cancer and his partner of 12 years ditched him, he decided the best way to move forward was to auction his whole life.

Therefore, from Sunday, June 22 for one week, Usher’s life is up for sale on eBay with the package including his three-bedroom house in Perth, Western Australia, a trial for his job at a rug store, his car, motorbike, clothes and even friends.

The Darlington man, 44, who immigrated to Australia in 2001, will go down in history as the first person ever to sell their life on eBay.

When the auction concludes on Sunday 29 June, Ian hopes hell make a minimum of 198,000 pounds enough to fund a lengthy round-the-world holiday.

Ironically, the inspiration for Ians mad-cap project came while he was dejectedly slaving down a mine in one of his many mind-numbing occupations.

I was a dumper truck driver in Kalgoorlie, which is a massive open-cut gold mine North East of Perth. I was driving down a ramp at the mine, covered in dirt and sweat, when the eureka moment came. The money is great, but the work is monotonous to say the least, The Sun quoted him, as saying.

Driving around for 12 hours a day gives you a lot of time to think about life. Id been through a divorce from my ex-wife Laura, and I wasnt sure what to do with the large house wed built in Perth.

I knew I wanted to travel and mulled over selling it, but there was still the furniture and all my belongings to think about. If everything was going to be flogged as one big package, I needed a way to make it work.

It dawned on me I could use eBay to actually sell my life, he added. (ANI)
