London, December 04 (ANI): Nonja, the orangutan, is the new hit on Facebook.
The ape placed in Vienna’s Schoenbrunn zoo in Austria has been clicking its own pictures, which immediately gets uploaded on her profile page over a WiFi link.
The digital camera given to the animal by the keepers pops out raisins every time she presses the shutter.
“It’s an attempt to see the world through her eyes and see what she thinks is important. She’s very artistic,” the Sun quoted a zoo worker as saying.
The camera has a toughened cover in order to protect from being damaged.
Before photography, Nonja has tried her hand in painting as well.
In fact her work has earned up to 2,000 pounds at auction.
Nonja has 14,000 “friends” on Facebook. (ANI)
