Meet George, the 7ft-long blue Great Dane, who could be world’s tallest dog
December 23rd, 2009 - 4:28 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Dec 23 (ANI): A Blue Great Dane called George, which is nearly 43 inches tall and weighs 245 pounds, is running for a spot in Guinness Book of World Records for being the world’s biggest dog.
The record was previously held by Gibson, a harlequin Great Dane, who was 42.6 inches tall. It passed away from cancer last August.
The four year-old George’s owners, David and Christine Nasser, have written to the Guinness World Records asking if their pet has become the biggest in the world.
He looks more like a miniature horse than a dog and consumes 110 pounds of food every month and has his own Queen Size Bed to sleep on.
David said they were awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records.
“He’s very, very unique,” the Telegraph quoted David as saying. (ANI)
