Mass wedding for people with special needs to be held in Dubai

- Dubai, Sep 29 (IANS) A national mass wedding involving 100 couples in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be held here for people with special needs.For this, Abdulrahman Al Saleh, executive director of financial and administrative affairs division of Dubai Customs, has signed a sponsorship contract with Iman Faris, head of the marketing committee of the wedding.
Under the contract, Dubai Customs will contribute 500,000 dirhams ($136,135) to the event. The wedding will be organised by Dubai Special Sports Club and Arab Family Organisation.
An initiative of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event is in its third edition this year.
