Mass grave discovered in IraqMarch 30th, 2008 - 3:04 pm ICT by admin
Baghdad, March 30 (DPA) Police in the Iraqi town of Muqdadiyah have discovered a new mass grave of 14 bodies close to another found last week, the US army said Sunday. The new mass grave near the town, some 125 km northeast of Baghdad, came to light Saturday.
It was only 100 metres away from a mass grave found Thursday containing the corpses of 37 people, with the bodies showing signs of torture.
Muqdadiyah was the site of heavy fighting a few weeks ago between Al Qaeda forces and US troops, Iraqi security forces and local Sunni self-defence groups.
