Margaret Moth Succumbs After Three Years Battle Against Colon Cancer

Rochester, March 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Sunday, Mar 21, the famous Photojournalist of CNN, Margaret Moth, who had dared her life many times to bring back for the viewers the reality of different places, expired. Margaret Moth was 59 years old and was suffering from colon cancer. She had been battling with the colon cancer for the last three years and was under the hospice care for some time now. According to Nigel Pritchard, the spokesman for CNN, Margaret Moth expired in Rochester.
The Photojournalist is known for her coverage of war torn areas and also of conflict pron places. The photojournalist not only did cover the American territory but also many foreign countries. Margaret Moth covered the riot which broke up in India after the assassination of then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi in 1984. In 2002, she went to bring back the reality of the West Bank Israeli invasion. CNN praised it’s late photojournalist for her contribution to the channel. It said that even when police was open firing at the protesters in Tbilisi, Georgia, the photojournalist went on to do her duty and captured the massacre. Though others called her attempts as daring, Margaret Moth during one interview had said that she had never thought herself to be a dare devil and that she had always taken care of herself.
Margaret Moth however, got nearly killed during her coverage of the Bosnia-Herzegovina war when she was stuck by a fatal gunshot on her face. The CNN van in 1992 was attacked by a sniper fire. The Photojournalist had to undergo several reconstruction surgeries after the attack but that did not stop her from returning to the place again after 2 years, to cover the war.

What an awesome woman! The Angels are singing for sure now.
She led an exciting and fast paced life indeed. To all that have lost her, she will be missed deeply. God Bless her on her final journey.
