Manchester, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Premiere League champions Manchester United used the “catch them young” tactics to bring 5-year-old Charlie Jackson into their fold. The youngster was spotted by Manchester’s scouts when he was only three years.

At five, the league champions believe Charlie is old enough to join the club’s development program. He is currently training with players who are at least a year older than him. He is already being touted as the big thing for future football. Ironically, Charlie’s parents are supporters of Manchester United’s fiercest rivals, Manchester City.

Nonetheless his parents, Andy and Claire Jackson say they are happy that he has been picked by United.

Andy told reporters that, “His idols are Joe Hart and Mario Balotelli and at first he was mortified that he was having to train with United but he seems to be getting over that a bit now. He loves training with the club and it’s an amazing opportunity for him. Everywhere we go people notice him because of his football talent, whether it’s on the park or on holiday.”

The parents say they will get Charlie to concentrate on football as long as she show the interest in the game. They promise that if he stop showing interest in the sport, they will encourage him to go for his next goal

Andy secretly hopes that Charlie will end up wearing the shirt of Manchester City one day.
