Man who killed 12 people held in China
December 14th, 2009 - 12:07 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Beijing, Dec 14 (IANS) A man who shot dead 12 people and seriously injured two was arrested Sunday in central China’s Hunan province following a manhunt involving 1,000 police personnel, authorities said.
Liu Aibing, 34, was captured from a hill in Qingtang township in Anhua county, the police said.
He allegedly fired a hunting gun and set fire to six houses in his mountain village in Gaoming township at 5 a.m. Saturday, Xinhua news agency reported.
His father and other close relatives are among the dead.
Liu, who has a history of mental illness, returned home two months ago from Guangdong province.
